He then attended law school at Liberty University in Lynchburg Virginia, earning a Doctorate of Juris Prudence. While there, he excelled in Trial Practice, Appellate Advocacy and Alternative Dispute Resolutions. Before leaving Lynchburg, Jordan met and married his beautiful wife Whitney. The Van Matres now reside in Jordan's home town of McDonough Georgia with their golden retriever, "Buddy."
After passing the bar in 2010, Jordan began practicing law at the Law Offices of Robert J. Semrad & Associates, commonly known as "Debtstoppers." Jordan was promoted quickly, and eventually managed one of the largest bankruptcy caseloads in metro-Atlanta, covering millions of dollars of debt and finances.
Thereafter, Jordan left corporate America to pursue his dream of becoming a trial lawyer, and joined the Spalding County District Attorney's Office in Griffin Georgia. There he gained a reputation for excellence in trial practice, and maintained good relationships with all who knew him. Jordan then left Spalding County to join the Henry County District Attorney's Office in his home town of McDonough, GA, where he continued prosecuting major felonies, appeals and trials.
Jordan's trial experience includes cases for murder, armed robbery, child molestation, drug possession and manslaughter. Jordan has handled hundreds of cases of all kinds and of different severities, equipping him with the knowledge and experience to handle any case. To date, Jordan's success rate at trial is 95%. He has never lost a case that he had the potential to win.
